The
collection of samples is a simple and painless procedure. However, instructions must be
carefully followed to assure accurate results.These step-by-step instructions show the
sample collection procedure in detail. Always refer to the written instructions mailed
with your kit while using this page as a guide.

- Open envelope contaning sample collection kit.
- Check contents.
- Rinse mouth with water.
|
|
|
|
|
|
- Open packet containing the Buccal swab (small q-tip like swabs).
|
|
|
|
|
|
- Rotate firmly 10 times against inside of right cheek.
- Using the second Buccal swab, repeat the process for the left cheek.
- Repeat this process for each individual.
- Mother, Child and alleged Father must each complete this procedure using the
correct color-coded swab:

- Place the Buccal swab back into the original wrapper.
- Insert into color coded envelope provided.
|
|
|
|
|
|
- Seal envelope using the bright orange stickers as shown.
- Place mailing label and postage onto envelope.
- Use three (3) first class stamps for regular U.S. Post Office Service.
- For U.S. Post Office Priority Mail take package to your local Post Office or Mail
Boxes Etc. (Cost should be $3.20.)
- For UPS Overnight service, visit your local UPS office or Mail Boxes Etc.
