2. Follow the easy instructions provided in the kit for collecting a mouth swab sample from the child and alleged father (mother is optional). The entire collection process must be witnessed by a third party unbiased witness.

3. After sample collection, the witness signs the chain-of-custody documents provided in the kit to verify the identities of the test participants and to confirm the witnessing of the collection. The samples are returned to the laboratory using the return packaging included in your test kit. Results are available in just 2 working days. The official results and legally admissible documents are sent directly to you by email after the test is complete.

Chain-of-Custody Witnessing Instructions

The sample collection process must be witnessed by an unrelated witness (such as your physician, your lawyer, a notary, clergy, etc.).

The witness must verify the identity of those whom are testing by confirming legal identification (e.g. driver’s license, birth certificate, Social Security Card, passport, etc.).

The witness must sign the completed Chain-of-Custody Witness Document provided in the kit as a witness to the collection.

The witness must seal the DNA specimens in the container provided in the kit, sign the security seal, and mail the samples directly to the laboratory for testing.
