Chorionic Villus Sampling – CVS is usually performed between 10 and 13 weeks from your last menstrual period. CVS is usually performed between 10 and 13 weeks from your last menstrual period. This procedure involves removing some chorionic villi cells from the placenta. Using the fluid that the medical professional extracts, we are able to compare this to the suspected father or father’s DNA to determine paternity. The alleged father’s DNA sample is usually a buccal (mouth) swab.
What is included: A Chorionic Villus Sampling Paternity Test, USPS Priority shipping of a Journey Genetic Testing DNA prenatal collection kit, detailed collection instructions, a FedEx prepaid overnight return mailer for your DNA samples, all lab processing fees, and results from our AABB accredited testing laboratory. You are responsible for any medical costs apart from what we provide.
Who is included: One mother and one suspected father to test fetal DNA to determine paternity while pregnant. Additional father’s may be added to the testing for an additional fee.
When you will receive it: USPS Priority mail usually arrives within the USA in 1-3 business days, depending on your location.
When your results will be ready: 3 – 7 business days after the lab receives all of the DNA samples. Expedited 3 business day results are available at an additional charge as shown on the order form.
